By default, each AWS account allows backups for up to 100 buckets. But if you’re more ambitious and want to go bigger, you can request a quota boost all the way up to 1,000 buckets. That’s a serious spread of data coverage.
If you happen to juggle more than 1,000 buckets in a single account, beware of quota penalties. Exceeding the limit could cause backup jobs to fail, bringing your data protection plans to an unwanted halt.
